ACS Local Section Town Hall Meeting
Wednesday, September 14, 2011
6:30 p.m. – Monmouth University Campus, Club Dining Room
Attention Monmouth County Local Section Members:
Please plan to join your colleagues, Monmouth County Local ACS Section leaders, representatives from the national Local Section Activities Committee (LSAC), and ACS staff from Washington, D.C. in a discussion of what the ACS can do for you. Your input is valuable. You will help your elected local section leaders set the future direction of YOUR Local Section. This will be an open forum for all members to discuss programs, services and activities that are of value to you and the community.
Visitor parking is available on campus located off Norwood Avenue, south of the intersection of Norwood with Cedar Avenue. Light refreshments will be provided.
RSVP to Bill Schreiber at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you there.
Our section has about 350 members who are employed in a wide range of activities and locations. We seek to advance the state of chemistry in our area through a variety of meetings and community events. We emphasize annual events:
Spring Dinner meeting,
Fall Dinner meeting
Norman J. Field Lecture (Details)
National Chemistry Week Activities
Chemistry Carnival (October)
See our Special Events for this year's programs.
A special invitation to high school chemistry teachers: We want you to join our section. You have inspired generations of chemists and are our link to the future.
Finally, our executive committee meets each month at various locations. We welcome all members to the meetings and to join the team. You can get the details of our upcoming meetings from the website or by contacting any member of the committee. The more active members we have, the more interesting events we can have and the more we can do for chemistry in Monmouth County.
